Naftaly Schwartz is a true master optician. With an incredible amount of experience in the art of optics and his deep understanding of the visual system Naftaly is a true asset to the Mt. Airy medical eye center optical department.
Naftaly graduated Optometry school in Israel in 1977. He had a successful Optometric practice in Jerusalem for 30 years and was a staff optometrist for the IDF ( Israel Defense Forces).
Patients that worked with Naftaly know his true passion for the field of optics and eye care. He is a true perfectionist and a kind individual.
Naftaly and wife Pnina of 57 years live in Owings Mills MD. They have four children of which three are also in the eye care field.
Pnina Schwartz, was born and raised in Jerusalem, Israel. She finished high school and nursing school then worked as a registered nurse. She raised 4 children, while her husband Naftaly Schwartz finished optometry school. Thereafter, they opened their own office in the heart of Jerusalem. Pnina resigned and became the office manager.
The Schwartz’s moved to the USA in 1991. She passed the National Board of Nursing exam then began to work at Sinai Hospital, as well Digestive Diseases Associates in Baltimore, and lastly at Johns Hopkins. She retired from nursing 6 years ago and is now the office manager for her son Dr. Boaz Schwartz.
Casey Perry graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sports Science from Frostburg State University. She stumbled upon a career in eye care and developed a passion for it. With determination she has learned how to perform visual field testing, retinal photography, and contact lens insertion and removal. Selecting the perfect frame and lenses to fit our patients’ everyday needs is her specialty.
Casey applies her bachelor’s degree to her own life by maintaining a healthy mind, body and spirit. She is the mother of one four legged fur child and spends as much time as possible with her friends and family. Traveling is one of her passions, along with bringing joy to others. Casey has been with the Mount Airy Medical Eye Center for over three years and plans to be here for many more years to come.
Stacie has been working in optics for over 21 years. She specializes in fitting, adjusting, and repairing eyewear as well as choosing the perfect frame for your visual and lifestyle needs. Stacie also teaches new contact lens wearers the insertion and removal of contact lenses. She looks forward to satisfying all of your visual needs.
